If I run the TGL Classic, do I have to fundraise?

I’m walking/running the Run/Walk and my child will be walking/running with me. Do I have to register him/her as well?

If I run the TGL Classic, do I have to fundraise?
NO. You may choose to register and pay the $25 registration fee or get fundraise (get pledges from friends, family, etc.). It’s your choice. All those fundraising, must provide TGL Foundation with their registrants names no later than April 9th at 5 pm.

I’m walking/running the Run/Walk and my child will be walking/running with me. Do I have to register him/her as well?
It depends. It is not necessary to register your child, under the age of 12. However, only registered participants will receive a Run/Walk t-shirt and race bib.

If I choose to register, do I have to register online?
NO. You can mail your form your form to (TGL Foundation, 1325 Ave of the Americas, 25th Floor NY, NY 10019) or fax it to: 212-651-6422.  Click here to download the printable registration form to mail or fax with your check or credit card number.

Fax and online registration close at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, April 9 at 5:00 pm. Mailed in forms must be postmarked no later than April 5, to ensure we receive it in time.

 

Can I register in person or the morning of the event?

YES but by doing so your race entry fee will NOT go towards funding lung cancer research. You may register at the NY Road Runners (9 East 89th Street, between Madison and Fifth Avenues) on:

·          Thursday, April 10, 1:00 – 7:00 pm

·          Friday, April 11, 1:00 – 7:00 pm

·          Saturday, April 12, 11:30 am – 4:30 pm 

 

On race day, Sunday, April 13, check-in/registration will be from 7:00 to 8:30 am at the registration tent by the Central Park Bandshell (mid-park just south of the 72nd street transverse). 

 

When and where do I pick up my race bib and t-shirt?

You may do so the morning of the event, Sunday April 13, between 7:00 to 8:30 am at the registration tent by the Central Park Bandshell (mid-park just south of the 72nd street transverse).

Are donations tax-deductible?
YES. The TGL Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit corporation with federal tax I.D. # 57-1151066. All donations are tax-deductible. Race entry fees however are not tax deductible.

If I fundraise as an individual or team, do I still have to pay a registration fee?
Yes, you will still need to complete the registration process because the registration form has a waiver that we need you to accept in order to participate in the event. Simply register on this site and then proceed to beginning your fundraising efforts on active.com.
